A Joyous Celebration: End of Term 1 at La Salle Catholic School
On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, La Salle Catholic School came together as a community to celebrate the successful conclusion of Term 1 in a heartwarming and memorable event. This day was not just about marking the end of an academic term but also about reinforcing our core values, building friendships, and creating beautiful memories that will linger in the hearts of our learners, staff, and the entire school fraternity.
A Sacred Beginning: Holy Mass
The day commenced with a solemn and uplifting Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Fredrick, setting a reflective and spiritual tone for the celebration. This special gathering reminded us of the importance of gratitude, faith, and service to others—key elements of our Lasallian identity. Our learners participated actively in prayers and hymns, reaffirming their connection to God and to the values that shape our institution.
The Mass was not only a time of worship but also an opportunity for learners to reflect on their journey throughout the term, recognizing their achievements and seeking guidance for the challenges ahead. As the school choir led beautiful hymns, the chapel was filled with an atmosphere of reverence and unity, making it a truly uplifting experience for everyone present.
Lasallian Values in Action
Following the Mass, our esteemed School Director, Bro. Prof. Paulos W. Mesmer, FSC, took the opportunity to address the learners. With great passion, he reminded them of the five key Lasallian values: Faith in the Presence of God, Concern for the Poor and Social Justice, Respect for All Persons, Quality Education, and Inclusive Community. He emphasized the importance of keeping these values at the core of their daily lives, both within and beyond the school environment.
A particularly touching moment was when he expressed gratitude to our learners for their continued dedication to sharing with the less fortunate members of our community. This act of giving, deeply rooted in our Lasallian heritage, has become a cherished tradition at our school, reinforcing the spirit of generosity and compassion among our students. He also encouraged them to continue their academic efforts and maintain discipline and hard work as they prepared for the next term.

At around 10:00 a.m., the excitement escalated as learners proceeded to an outdoor activity known as Sharing. True to its name, this event was all about spreading joy and strengthening bonds. Learners exchanged a variety of flavored snacks, showcasing a beautiful display of generosity and appreciation for one another.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter and cheer as students danced to their favorite songs, moving rhythmically to the beats that united them in celebration. Playgrounds and open spaces transformed into zones of pure joy, where children played together, strengthening friendships and relishing the spirit of togetherness.
From traditional games to modern music, the variety of activities ensured that every learner had a chance to engage in something they enjoyed. Some participated in friendly competitions, while others showcased their best dance moves. The joy and energy were infectious, making this a highlight of the day for many.
A Delicious Treat: Lunch and Departure
As the clock struck 1:00 p.m., learners gathered once more for a delicious and fulfilling lunch. The shared meal further emphasized the essence of community, fostering a sense of belonging and unity. Conversations filled the dining area, as students and teachers reflected on the day’s events and the accomplishments of the term.
The menu was specially curated to provide a delightful meal for all, ensuring that learners had the energy to end the day on a high note. It was a moment of bonding, where students and teachers sat together, sharing stories and laughter while enjoying their meals. This simple yet significant act of eating together reinforced the family-like atmosphere that defines La Salle Catholic School.
